The first elementary school I ever taught chess at in 2018. It was a struggle for me at the beginning, but worth it. I always said, “without struggle there is no progress”. I taught 4th & 5th graders during the school day. I also taught 1st, 2nd, & 3rd graders during lunch period to keep them on point too.
My son absolutely loves this chess club. Before joining, he enjoyed chess, but now he gets genuinely excited every week when Saturday comes around. The instructors do a wonderful job making chess fun, engaging, and challenging for the kids.
I’ve watched his confidence, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for the game grow tremendously. He talks about chess at home, practices on his own, and looks forward to every session. It’s clear that the club creates a positive environment where children can learn, improve, and enjoy themselves.
I highly recommend this chess club to any parent looking for an activity that is both educational and fun. We are very grateful for the impact it has had on our son.
Romeo is an amazing King who looks out for our young Kings and Queens. He points them in the correct direction and teaches them that life is more like “Chess” and not “Checkers”. The mind is a powerful tool and discipline is needed. Teaching our young adults to “think”; before they make “moves” in your Chess Club also teaches them that this strategy is the same in life. It also teaches them to “Do the Right Thing” in life to get positive results. Many of us wish we had this when we were younger. Thank you Mr. Romeo/Fam for all you do for our beloved Young Kings and Queens. You are needed. JLW-B
