The Taste of the District with Senator Jamaal Bailey and the Y.M.C.A on April 20th was a delicious event in the heart of the district that brought together local officials and community members alike. This event featured a variety of delectable dishes handcrafted by local restaurants which were enjoyed by all who attended. This gentlemen and the kids that he mentor are awesome. I brought my two daughters and son to the library to learn chess. His professionalism, patience and passion to teach is amazing. My children was happy and interested at the end of te day. It was like a chess boot camp!
This was like a chess bootcamp. My grandson missed the first Saturday – April 15, but we made up for the next 5 Saturdays thereafter. He knew a little about the game but got a better understanding of how to focus and concentrate. His spatial awareness in the game improved a whole lot. Mr. Romeo’s passion for the game is transferred to his students and cause them to be more confident and solution oriented.
